What is yoga therapy?
Yoga is holistic and healing in that it offers a wide variety of tools that promote health, healing, and transformation. Tools of yoga include, but are not limited to: postures, breathing techniques, meditation, gestures, use of sound, self-inquiry. A yoga therapist utilizes these tools to create unique practices to meet the needs and goals of a client. These practices are refined over time so that they continually meet a client where they are and encourage a client in the direction they want to grow.
A yoga therapist works with a client one-on-one to holistically address wellness. I am a yoga therapist, as well as mental health therapist. While I work with a variety of individuals of different ages and conditions, I specialize in helping people with depression, anxiety, various traumas, and coping with depression related to chronic medical and physical conditions.
I offer in-person and online/virtual yoga therapy sessions. For questions regarding which form of services is available for you based on your location and appointment time needs, contact me today!

I would be honored to be part of your healing journey. It takes courage and strength to face your challenges, big or small, and I will support and guide you every step of the way. You have the potential to find peace, joy, and contentment in life, and we will work together to find the right path of wellness for you. I believe this fiercely because of my own journey of healing! I am passionate about Chicago pizza, my hound dog Sal, and helping people reach their goals. Both as a counselor and in my personal life, it is important to me that I am compassionate, easy to talk to, reliable, and encouraging.
I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and yoga therapist. I obtained my Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in 2014. I am completing my yoga therapy training through Surya Chandra Healing Yoga School, which is International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) accredited, under JJ-Gormley Etchells in the Krishnamacharya lineage.
I am a mental health counselor at a community mental health center, and I began the path of becoming a yoga therapist because I felt first-hand how transforming yoga can be.
I believe that the tools of yoga can be utilized to help anyone transform aspects of their lives that are causing distress. Change is possible, and I am excited to help you start or continue your journey of working towards a more peaceful, joyful, balanced life!
